AWeber: AWeber offers a remarkable splittesting feature that allows you to optimise the subject lines and email content in order to maximise engagement and delivery.

GetResponse: GetResponse counters by using a more sophisticated automation engine that allows you to create complex email sequences based on the behavior of your subscribers. In that case, you'd have an automatic Welcome series which would send a personal email on sign up and another set of emails at predetermined intervals with useful content. This will keep your brand fresh in the minds of new customers and give them a sense of confidence.

Now we will compare additional powerful features like automation, webinars, integrations and customer support.

Automation:

The real game changer is the ability to send targeted emails according to subscriber behaviour via marketing automation.

GetResponse: GetResponse is leading in the field of automation. Its visual workflow builder makes crafting intricate email drip sequences a breeze. User actions, e.g. signing up for a list, pulling out of the shopping cart or click on an email link can trigger this sequence. This allows you to deliver highly relevant and personalised content at the right moment, nurturing leads and driving conversions.

AWeber: AWeber also provides automation features which are fully functional and great.they focus on simpler time based campaigns.

Webinars:

GetResponse: GetResponse is the obvious winner when it comes to webinars as a cornerstone of your marketing plan. It enables you to quickly and seamlessly present your videos directly on the platform by offering a hosted webinar feature. This makes it easier to work and eliminates the need for third party integration.

AWeber: The integration of AWeber with third party webinar solutions, such as Zoom or GoToWebinar, adds a layer of little complexity and requires the management of separate platforms.

Integrations:

AWeber's making a great impression in the integration department. It offers a wider range of integration with popular marketing tools, allowing you to connect your email marketing efforts to your CRM Customer Relationship Management software, Project Management Software, and more. This will make it easier to streamline your processes, ensure that all marketing data is centralised, and support a more unified marketing ecosystem.

Customer support:

In particular for those new to email marketing, exceptional customer support is required.

AWeber: AWeber is proud of its award winning customer support. They'll provide you with phone, email and live chat support to get immediate help if you have a problem.

GetResponse: GetResponse provides telephone support for their highest priced plans, using primarily email and live chat as customer service.

Pricing plans:

Depending on the number of subscribers you have, pricing structures may be different.

In general, GetResponse offers a more attractive pricing structure for large email lists. The most popular plan of GetResponse is marketing automation plan which starts from $59/month or it can decrease upto $41.3/month if bought for 2 years. The price will go up as you increase your subscribers count.

However, for small audiences AWeber offers a more cost effective solution. The most popular plan of AWeber is Plus plan which starts from $29.99/month or $20/month if bought yearly. The price will go up as you increase your subscribers count.

My personal recommendation is that if you have a email list of upto 25,000 people then AWeber is your Straight Choice because:

AWeber: Plus plan charge $159.99/month or $150/month if bought yearly for 25,000 subscribers.

GetResponse: Marketing automation plan charge $215/month or it can go low upto $150.5/month if bought for 2 years for 25,000 subscribers.

But if you have lot more than 25,000 people in your list then GetResponse is your Straight Choice because:

GetResponse: Marketing automation plan costs $359/month or it can decrease upto $251.3/month if bought for 2 years for 50,000 subscribers

AWeber: Plus plan costs $402.99/month or $393/month when bought yearly for 50,000 subscribers.

Find your best fit:

It's your specific needs and priorities that will determine which service you choose. But if you need my personal view point on which platform to choose then read my opinion given below to make your decision, but consider adding data driven insight into it.

1) Analyze your email list and growth projections:

AWeber can be an ideal candidate, particularly in the beginning stages, for a solopreneur or smaller business that is constrained by budget and seeks to build relationships with its audience.  AWeber, in particular at the earliest stages, would have been a good choice. For smaller audiences of less than 25,000 subscribers, AWeber's prices continues to be lowest.

GetResponse's scalability and cost efficiency for larger audiences of 25,000 or more subscribers should be considered if you are expecting a substantial list growth.

2) Look at the features you need to achieve your goals:

GetResponse is a straight winner if you need advanced features inbuilt within email marketing software. GetResponse's visual workflow builder is a powerful tool when advanced marketing automation is needed to nurture leads and convert them. If webinars are a core part of your marketing strategy then again Getresponse shines with built in webinar hosting, eliminating the need for third party integration.

On the other hand, AWeber provides award winning phone, email and live chat support is an important advantage when it comes to superior customer service, particularly if you are just starting out with email marketing.

So, After carefully examining strengths and weaknesses of both platforms, I hope this comparison will clear all confusion and help you to make a final decision. Choose the platform that perfectly aligns with your unique marketing goals and propels your business forward.
